I am looking for a new solution to desktop monitoring. Our current system cannot distinguish between words on the banned word list and words within words eg sex and Sussex and therefore comes up with way to many false positives. If I could have a cherry on top solution I would also like it to be able to desktop monitor what is written on ipads but this might be a pipe dream. Are there any products that you can recommend or would warn me off of?

I am trying to find an alternative for Smoothwall as its prices continue to go up making it no longer a viable option. Has anyone used MXSweep? I came across them at BETT and it looks likes simple and well priced option but I cant find anyone who can give me an honest opinion. What is the product like? what is the support like? Does anyone have any other filtering solutions they can recommend? we have two sites. Our large site is on Lightspeed but I am looking for a solution for our site that only has about 40 pcs and so don't really want to pay out for hardware. Cheers

Does anyone have any advice or examples of good, or bad, experiences of trying to use Bluetooth or wifi keyboards with iPads in a classroom environment? Any problems with interference because of multiple keyboards? Any help or suggestions appreciated. Suzie

Is it possible to use picasa and not have your images leave your network? I am looking into the potential data protection concerns with using picasa to store images. Many of the schools photos contain images of children and so we are trying to see if you can take advantage of the way you can manage your photos on Picasa but wihtout having the images on line. We are looking at installing wireless accross our site and I am interested in talking to Surrey or South East schools that have done this and can give me any tips or pointers. Also any schools who are using mobile devices, of any kind who might share their experiences. Finally anyone using Cloud Technologies, what are you using and how? If you are a primary or prep school using Moodle successfully and would like to share your experiences or have visitors please get in touch. Ideally based in Surrey or the South East we are looking to find some Moodle using schools who wouldnt mind us visiting or looking at their site to get some inspiration and ideas. We have a Moodle site in its early stages but are looking for ways to generate excitement and use as well as helping us with some course and background setup questions. So far most of what I have read on forums is about how people have abandoned their VLE's due to a feeling of lethargy about them. Thanks

Thanks for your help. Having searched for the Objectionable Content Settings I have found something on Transition to Google Email Security that says that Postini is no longer available for new Google Apps for education accounts. This explains why the trial account I set up in January had the service but the live system Ive set up over the past few weeks does not. At least I wont waste any more time looking for Postini and can just push ahead with the email settings within Google Apps.

I am trying to move our students to Google mail, although seriously regretting ever making that decision I am now committed. I have created all the user accounts but cannot add the Postini filtering. When I go to add services it doesnt appear. Any ideas? I have tried contacting Google but there is no response to any of the web forms I have completed and I cant find a single contact email to use. Without filtering I cannot take the system live. Has anyone out there successfully set up Google mail and has anyone managed to get any help from anywhere? If so perhaps you could get in touch as I am seriously worried as I only have a couple of weeks to get this system up and running before term starts.

I am moving our children from RM Easymail to Google Mail. Not moving any data but setting them up fresh accounts. The problem is that I have set them to have the main 6 Google Core Suite Apps and set the rest to No on the console however if I log on as a child I can go to Google mail, click on More then download and install other Google Apps that I dont want the children to have access to. Is there anyone out there who uses Google Apps who might be prepared to answer how to remove the more button or stop them being allowed to download these apps as well as some other questions as Google are taking forever to come back to me with answers to any questions I log. I am also trying to download postini but it doesnt show in the list of services I can add. I have to get this done by 18 August as I am planning on taking some leave before they return in September when I must have this up and running. No experience of Bloxx or Websense but very happy with Smoothwall. Its not always obvious how to set things up but when you are unsure the telephone support is excellent.

thanks for your reply I have now resolved this. The Tiny MCE editor had to be at the top of the list of NTML editors.

I am using Moodle 2.0.3 and have a problem in that the Tiny MCE HTML editor toolbar doesnt appear anywhere. I was on 2.0 but upgraded incase this might resolve the problem but it hasnt. I have checked in the settings and the editor is turned on. I have also tried changing themes but this doesnt help. I am running a Moodle Appliance powered by Turnkey Linux which was installed by an outside company leaving me with a blank Moodle to start on. Without the toolbar I cant insert pictures, edit text etc so please any help appreciated

Is anyone out there using Google mail for the children? If so are you happy to share your knowledge? I am planning on moving the children to Google mail over summer. They dont have much in their accounts so am deleting the old RM Easymail accounts and starting fresh. Would you recomend using the Google Apps Directory Sync or keeping google mail separate and populating using a csv file? Thanks

Can anyone provide me with a quote for a bulb for a Sanyo Pro XtraX model number PLC-XW15? I want to decide whether it is worth replacing the bulb or getting a new projector. The projector came up with a greeen box in the middle of the screen when the Head was using it, I cannot replicate the problem and can only think it might be the bulb. Thanks in advance. Suzie
