Hi everyone, We are using Google Credential Provider for Windows (GCPW) on our PCs. The majority of these machines are currently domain-joined, although going forward, there is no requirement for them to be. Local profiles are created when users sign in via GCPW. We want to ensure the following happens automatically when a user logs in using GCPW: Automatic sign-in to Google Chrome. Automatic sign-in to Google Drive for Desktop. Google Chrome is set as the default browser. We have Google Workspace for Education Standard. Has anyone successfully configured these settings for users logging in via GCPW? Any advice on how to enforce this would be hugely appreciated!

Hi, any help would be much appreciated! We are looking for an easier way for staff to join the school network using 'Sign in with Google' We are a Google workspace education school. Unfortunately, Talk Straight/Schools Broadband radius services do not currently allow for Google/LDAP use. We have a Synology device which includes a Radius Server (I understand this uses Free Radius) I have been able to sync our Google users with Synology LDAP. Is anyone is able to assist with the Radius server set in Synology and the settings for InstantOn, and then the requirements for mobile devices and laptops to connect to the network either via 'sign in with google' or their google username and passwords that would be much appreciated! Or any other suggestions! Thank you in advance!

Thanks, when trying this approach I receive the following error. License operation failed. Make sure that the user has necessary services before adding or removing a dependent service.The service Office for the Web for Education requires SharePoint (Plan 1) for Education to be enabled as well. For more details on how to resolve products dependencies Id like users to be able to access office products. (That's the only items they need) Current licences 365 A1 for faculty.

Can you please explain how to do this as it was not obvious how to remove one drive in the license area? Or is this based on a specific license? Thanks

Happy Sunday! Is it possible to have a school setup on Google with some users able to access office365 and have one drive disabled? Would like to explore if feasible to allow some users access to office365 but also ensure all data remains within Google. Whether the user is on a PC or Chromebook. If possible, is it simple and what are the requirements? Thank you!

Hi, the pc agent is pushed through GPO to cover windows machines and all browsers. The chrome agent is installed through Google admin for those using Chromebooks. How can we get them to work together

Hi all Any advice please. We are an SBB customer and netsweeper are unable to offer direct support. We have PCs and AD all setup so users logging in receive the correct netsweeper policy on their windows devices as the netsweeper agent is installed. We also require the same users to be able to login to chromebooks. Ideally chromebooks are setup with the following OUs: Users>Staff & Users>Students. This way the JSON file for netsweeper can be set at user lever and the appropriate filter applied. With this setup it seemed to cause an issue with staff using a PC as the agent on the pc was showing the staff policy and the chrome browser was also pulling the JSON and showing the access is denied page and applying the default policy for netsweeper which was set to student. The setup seemed to be working until the beginning of June. SBB have not yet been able to provide a solution other than removing the JSON from google admin which then leaves us with filtering issues on chromebooks. Netsweeper were able to provide some information to me and indicated it should work along with the following information; The WAgent 4.51.53.53 for Chromebooks was released in the past few days to fix a Manifest V3 issue that impacted whatismyfilteredip_reported_ip on Chromebooks.Also, due to Google enhancing security, you need to use https for server connections, for example -d https://wagentchrome.schoolsbroadband.net in the Google admin configuration JSON. The https being added to the JSON does not work for us and the URL SBB provided that works on chromebooks is -d chromewagent.schoolsbroadband.net which also differs from netwsweeper as they have it the other way around wagentchrome Any advice would be greatly appreciated or if I have not made it clear and need to provide more info please let me know.
