We’re direct with Sharp. Generally very happy with service we receive

We paid roughly £3,500. Our experience has been far from what we expected, not impressed at all.

We reopen to the kids tomorrow and it’s going to be an absolute disaster. We’re a special school for autistic kids and are having to move our year 9 and above kids to an academy near-by for the next 2 years whilst our main building is demolished and rebuilt due to RAAC concrete. The IT staff from the trust and school have been amazing, however, their broadband provider have made getting the necessary infrastructure (we’re still on prem) in place incredibly difficult. September is usually difficult due to change, but this is gonna be so much worse.

I’ve been asked by a member of SLT to allow her school iPad to connect to her home WiFi. We normally don’t allow that as our filtering is applied at network level. Doing this obviously would allow unrestricted internet access from the device. I’d normally push back on this, but would like people’s thoughts on this

Only seems to be Dell here too, tried an Optiplex 3090, Latitude 3540 and 5450 all with the issue. I wouldn’t say applying the drivers resolves the issue but has improved performance

Dell hardware by any chance? I found applying the driver packages improved performance, still not acceptable though I only upgraded a single brand new I7 machine and initially performance was awful as you describe, the drivers seemed to improve somewhat

We’re having similar issues although hadn’t noticed anything in the Sophos UI. File explorer etc just doesn’t feel as responsive as it should, although randomly will work as usual. Ours is installed as part of a task sequence via SCCM
