  1. Installing and using the code 39.ttf resolved the problem, thanks to everyone who contributed a reply. Had to fiddle with the Label Print template settings a bit but works.
  2. LabelPrint is the software that came with Junior Librarian 3 to print barcode labels for books and library cards. I don't know if this was considered separate software because the suppliers didn't always provide it - maybe not all JL3 users needed it and would want to pay for it, as you can get the barcode labels from the supplier pre-printed I think - but for whatever reason it needed to be installed independently of JL3. They probably moved to something better and more integrated in later versions of Junior Librarian. Comparing the files from the old machine sounds like a good idea - I'll confer with IT. I'm reasonably sure they copied the files to the new windows 10 machine (a mini-desktop) from the old windows 7 machine but I'll check. Thanks for the advice.
  3. This sounds like a great idea - I don't have the permissions to do this, the C:\ drive is locked down tight and have to run the shortcut through the start menu or taskbar, which wont let me change compatibility options - but will get on IT to do it. Thanks for the suggestion.
  4. No, think we had it running on Windows 7. At least, I haven't had to print barcodes since we used a Windows 7 machine. We recently upgraded the old machine to windows 10, which made it run much to slowly. We since moved JL3 to a newer machine with windows 10 on it. Not sure when barcode printing broke.
  5. Really not sure - don't have the access permissions to check the Junior Librarian/Label Print installation folder to check. I have contacted our IT people, they won't be able to physically check until Monday, so I'm seeing if anyone's encountered similar problems. Thanks for your super-quick reply.
  6. This is something I'm considering as a next step if I can't get Junior Librarian's in-built software to work - my major reservation is that I don't know if Bar-code 39 is able to handle generating barcodes in the bulk quantities we need (at least 65 at a time, preferably a lot more) as we're currently cataloguing a lot of books as we push to re-open our library. I'll investigate this further - thanks for your reply.
  7. Hmm, I'm not sure. Do you know a compatible font? Will quickly try sans-serif before I go back to being a TA for today. ** EDIT ** Tried changing the template to system font - this didn't seem to help, but I may be doing it wrong.
  8. Hi, Our primary school has Junior Librarian 3 installed on a new windows 10 machine, trying to get our library re-opened finally following COVID. We have LabelPrint installed, but when I go to print new barcodes, we get the following: The barcode image is replaced by *number* *number*. Any advice? I've had a look through ESS knowledge base and drawn a blank.
