  1. This site has used 3Com 905s for a good price. $1.79 I don't know if they can handle the 150+, but it would not hurt to ask. The 905 is compatible with the RIS PXE boot floppy.
  2. I looked at thedude in June. It is prettier, but I use kaboodle most of the time. The main reason is that kaboodle supports a virtual VPN and quick connection to VNC. Getting thedude adding a VNC tool was a pain and still did not work as easily as kaboodle.
  3. You should have seen the dust bunny that was living in there. The CD drive was clogged, the blades on all the fans were coated, and the PCB boards were all brown. I thought it best to just let it die in peace. For the rest, all I can say is I am very glad I got RIS working. It is nice to be able to just boot a floppy, select which setup I want, and then walk away. Half an hour later the OS and applications are installed, updated, and ready for use.
  4. I'm a volunteer system architect/admin/trainer for a private school in Rockford Illinois USA. I just want to give a big "Thank You" for making this site. I was killing myself trying to apply business world methods in a school environment. This has been a great resource while setting up the school’s new Windows 2003 Server and rolling out Windows 2000 to over 30 ancient PCs that were running Windows 98. (Some even had an install date in ’97!!) That is, once I got past the way you guys misspell and misuse words.
