"Have a chat with your Office 365 Global Administrator." So far I have been unable to work out who this is, despite many attempts to contact colleagues. Mystifying.

Yes, I check their work, but their parental notifications will not show up empty blank work as "missing" it will show it as submitted, even if it is blank. So it is 10x more admin for me to attend to and follow up missing work if it is empty turned in work. I want a one click solution like we had with Show My Homework, where a wily child could hand in nothingness and with one click we could unsubmit it.

Students click "turned in" and nothing appears in their area, but they manage to then avoid having their work show up as "missing". How can I stop this? Also, I cannot change my settings to British English, so it says, "turned in" instead of "handed in" and I get "grading" instead of "marking". There seems to be a different set of Google classroom features that other people have, as our online trainer shared his screen and he had different terms and an ability to return work as "missing" if there was nothing there. Any advice gratefully received.
