Hi, Just joined today. I'm the Data Manager at Towers School & Sixth Form Centre in Ashford, Kent. I've worked at the school for 20 years. I started as an admin assistant then I was the exams officer then data admin and now the data manager. Love what I do, and that there is always something new to learn! It's not all smooth sailing though, but then I guess it would be boring if it was! Have a great day guys!

We have had behaviour watch for about 5/6 years and use it only for behaviour, isolations and detentions. SLT now want more detailed reporting, and having not been involved with detentions before am trying to work out why they dislike SIMS so much! They say it is complicated to use for detentions and BW is so much easier. However, on a facebook page of SIMS users those that answered seemed to prefer SIMS. I've been having a look in SIMS this morning to see how easy it is to set a detention for a student and to be fair I'm starting to agree with our SLT. I know Capita instructions aren't always the best but this seems far too complicated. Does anyone have a simple step by step guide to adding detentions and how it all works?? Any help much appreciated.
