That definitely seems to do a job. If i can find a way of producing a report with all 3 elements (Achievement, Behaviour & attendance) from this then I'll repost it. Thanks for your reply. I've had a look at this and I'm not sure where I am going wrong but all adding a sub-report and date filtering seems to do is generate a list of achievement award incidents rather than a simple total number of points generated. I've gone from a report with each member of form on one line to having each member of form having as many lines as they have had achievement logs. Have I missed something? Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to create a report in SIMS which shows the number of achievement & behaviour points and attendance between certain dates. E.g for a term. I can design the basic report but I thought that 'effective date' might help me produce two snapshots of points. However, I get the same results no matter what effective date I use. Does anyone have a successful workaround for this? many thanks for any help Chris
