  1. Hi all, Recently our year 11 class lists were amended to move a large group of students into different teaching groups. Some teachers have also changed and are now teaching different classes. Our teachers are now writing school reports for their classes using the list entry browser. The list entry browser shows the new class lists. Attempting to change the 'Membership Period' values to dates before the class lists were changed produces an error - the notification bar states that 'Field must be on or after 26/2/2024', this is the date that the class lists were amended. Is there a way around this problem? Thank you for any advice offered.
  2. Hi, School is investigating whether to migrate SEN information on to SIMS. Is it possible to alert teachers of a pupil when SEN information on a pupil is changed? Currently our SENCO puts out a notice in the staff weekly email bulletin to notify all staff that a student's information has been updated. It would be a huge boon if the teachers of Joe Bloggs were alerted to the fact that his information has been amended - perhaps when they log in to SIMS / take a class register? Thanks in advance for any advice offered!
  3. That's really helpful Ed, thank you!
  4. Hi all, I'm pretty new to SIMs, so if I'm doing something daft please tell me. I'm self taught, so there's a good chance I'm doing it the hard way! I've created a template to record in-house test data for our science groups. Each test has an aspect to record the raw score, as a marks-integer. Teachers enter this onto marksheets. There is then a formula entry column that uses a marks to grade formula to convert the raw score to a GCSE level, stored on the same marksheet. This worked fine last year, and all staff recorded their results. This year we would like to modify the marks to grade formula to change the grade boundaries needed for each GCSE level. If I modify the marks to grade formula for the current year group, will it also change for last year's pupils? Obviously a pupil who acheived a level 8 last year, and had this reported to them won't be happy if this changes going forward. I can see a workaround, by creating new aspects each year, but I'm hoping there's an easier way! Thanks in advance for any help offered, this looks like a really friendly forum.
