    In order to be consistent regarding registry sound settings, I've created a "Group Policy Sound Settings" scheme (instead of just altering the ".Current" scheme). The attached XML disables most of the annoying sounds but keeps the sounds of the speech recognition enabled. attachments: Group Policy Sound Settings - GPO XML.txt Group Policy Sound Settings - Registry values.txt
