  1. Hiya mate, Im sorry to bother but I have a similar ICT task and formal interview coming up for an ICT Tech post. Please could you let me know what your task and the type of questions you got asked by the three members. Thanking you in advance.
  2. I am in the same boat as you. Even with experience I am struggling. To gain experience you might want to broaden your location. Finding a vacancy within Birmingham is quite competitive and tough at the moment. Good luck anyway.
  3. Well I guess your the lucky one. With no qualification and proper experience you have made it. Well done mate.
  4. I am a quick learner; I pick up new skills very quickly and I can assimilate new products and service information very quickly. I have the aptitude to interpret user requirements and provide a viable solution. Through my academic life I have studied IT and have picked up some very important skills and I am constantly learning new things in relation to IT. I would be able to learning on the job and building on the experiences and skills I already posses. Thanks for the reply
  5. I am not a quitter I will keep on trying but a point comes in life when you feel is this meant to be or not.
  6. Thanks Peterpan, I have tried this but the schools are saying they dont need help and have nothing going at the moment.
  7. How did you guys become Technicians. At one point in time you must have had no experience in schools like me so how did you break the Ice. I am looking for Trainee role in Midlands and I have a good understanding of networks, hardware and software as I have undertaken a one year placement in the NHS. So how can I make myself stand out and end up in a Tech job at school. Are you guys aware of any Tech jobs out there in midlands apart from those on local council sites. To me ICT tech market seems quite am I looking in the wrong places for jobs. All advice will be much appreciated. Thanks
  8. Apart from the local council sites is anyone aware of any other place where trainee ICT technician jobs are advertised? With minimum experience I believe I will be better suited to a trainee role in the west midlands region. The market for ICT technicians seem really quite to me am I looking in the wrong places for jobs?
  9. Thanks ngreenwood for the reply.
  10. Thanks for the advice. Is it worth me sending a speculative letter along with my CV to local schools to see if they have an ICT Technician Vacancy or not?
  11. James Richard, With minimum experience how did you get this ICT Technician Job? Im really struggling at the moment nones giving me the chance? Please Help.
  12. Hello All, I am new to this site using but I hope you guys would be able to help me out. Recently I have completed my degree in Bsc Hons Business Computing and IT where I have obtained a 2.1. I want to pursue a career as an IT technician in west midlands region. Coming just out of education I am not been given a chance by employers. I only have one years work experience which I undertook as part of my gap year as an ICT support officer in public sector. In this position I learn't about Active Directory, Windows NT, 2000 and 2003, setting up printers, restoring files, VPN setup and backing up servers. I was hoping you guys would be able to point me in the right direction of any employers out there looking to offer trainee or junior positions in the west midlands region to people like me who have just come out of education. I am a quick learner; I pick up new skills very quickly and I can assimilate new products and service information very quickly. Any advice or help will be much appreciated or pm me on [email protected]
