Thank you for your reply. It doesn't happen outside of the OU as there isn't a power policy applied elswhere. I have noticed it happens mostly on devices running 3rd/4th Gen processors. I am going to try removing the policy and see how that goes.. Thanks!

Hi there I was wondering if anyone has come across this before. We have a Power Options GPO deployed to workstations in classrooms to keep the screen on for 1 hour. This is deployed as a Computer Configuration / Admin templates / System / Power Management policy, and via Preferences / Control Panel / Power Options policy. When PCs boot up, the PCs hang on 'Applying Group Policy Options'. This can take anytime between a few seconds, to 7 minutes. On newer PCs it is a lot quicker (but still takes time on that policy), but most of our classroom desktops are quite old! I have checked Event Viewer and can't seem to find anything in the logs that is causing this. I have enabled the Group Policy Preference Power Options policy to run some troubleshooting, but this seems to only report on the preference side of the policy, but not the computer policy side of it. All seems to apply successfully. Any guidance / advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack

Hi Guys, Wondering if anyone has experienced this. All PCS on the domain get this message upon bootup. Applying {FC491EF1-C4AA-4CE1-B329-414B101DB823} policy. The policy hangs for up to 3-4 mins depending on processor speed. I have used Event Viewer Group Policy event logs to narrow it down to the Applocker GPO. I can't see anything else on Event Viewer that suggests that the GPO timed out or if there is an error. This is the only GPO that takes quite a long time and as we have older PCS up to 10 years, this is having a performance impact upon computer startup. Would appreciate anyone's thoughts.
