It’s no secret that PaperCut loves sysadmins. Working in IT for a highschool is what led our CEO to code some printing software and eventually co-found our company. Many of our support engineers and developers were once sysadmins too.
So our heart has really gone out to all sysadmins during the COVID-19 pandemic. You’ve always been the glue behind the scenes that holds countless workplaces together. That hasn’t been more true during this era of lockdowns all around the world.
The sysadmin has been the unsung hero of the modern workplace for some time now. But, woah, did you all step up to make hybrid and remote working happen. In fact all these IT businesses permanently transitioning to support hybrid working simply wouldn’t be possible without you.
So we wanted to do something to celebrate all that y’all do. That’s why we’re kicking off the first ever Sysadmin of the Year award!
We’re giving one lucky sysadmin the chance to be crowned the first Sysadmin of the Year. Not only will you win our shiny golden keyboard trophy, but you’ll also win a brand new Razer Blade gaming laptop valued at $4,999 AUD (RRP). Nominees for the award can also enter the weekly draw to win 1 in 40 limited edition Sysadmin Day t-shirts - designed by yours truly (well, by PaperCut’s design team, not me the word monkey who posted this).
How do you enter? First off, don’t worry, you don’t need to have purchased or even be using PaperCut Software to win. That’s not what we’re in it for. All you have to do is nominate a sysadmin and provide one example of a time where they were caring, honest, intelligent, or nimble, (hey, what do you know, those are our company values!)
