  1. If it is a hoax then it's extremely well done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HArqxlA4oY8
  2. I tried that and it says it was successful but it doesn't seem to be forwarding. I can pick up the email in the uk2.net webmail but not the recipient accounts.
  3. Just set up a uk2.net account and it won't let me forward emails to either my Gmail or Orange POP3 accounts.
  4. Great ideas @pcstru I'm a SAGA shareholder, do you think they would give me discount. The Royal Legion magazine is another possible but I'll give it a it of a trial first. I've just had another two tapes dropped off and that will keep me busy for today.
  5. Sorry if I'm boring you all with this but there is such a wide breadth of knowledge on this site and I would welcome some more advice. I currently have a Google website, which is ok and dead easy to keep updated. I also have my Facebook page which I called DroitwichVideoMemories but with hindsight I would have gone for SpaVideoMemories as it's not so geographic, whilst all the locals associate Spa with Droitwich. I don't think it's possible to change the Facebook page name. I guess I need to register a domain and SpaVideoMemories is available. Where would you recommend I go to get the domain? I'm assuming .co.uk would be best. Initially, I would simply map the domain to google site with a view to producing something more professional when time allows. Any advice and potential pitfalls would be appreciated.
  6. @Bompalompalomp can we have a video of you on your new bike please? Might be best if you wear full protective gear I just found this http://think.direct.gov.uk/assets/pdf/dg_195215.pdf
  7. I used to use a spud on my A35 windscreen I have anti-fog stuff for my swimming goggles which might work. It doesn't help with the goggles though. think I must have sweaty eyeballs. (I had to edit this, I'd typed googles both times )
  8. I hadn't considered steaming up. I wear varifocals, so would need I visor that goes over them. Wold they be prone to steaming?
  9. Stick one of these on the back of your leather jacket, it will stop any harrassment.
  10. I'm trying all sorts of cheap marketing ploys for my little video venture including this Facebook page I have just set up. https://www.facebook.com/DroitwichVideoMemories If you could possibly click the Like button, it would help. I would also welcome any advice on how to improve it because I know I'm carp at website design. Not to mention any ideas on promoting the business. Thanks
  11. I once came of my bike on a wet concrete road and was sliding along on my arse thinking "This should be hurting". When I stopped and picked myself up I had 4 half-crowns (shows you how long ago) in the back pocket, which acted as a buffer. Mum had to repair the pocket.
  12. Keep the stories coming in @Bompalompalomp this sounds like the ideal bike for me for pottering about on, so I'd be interested in how things go.
  13. I've just uploaded a video to youtube and a big red banner popped up. Your video appears to be shaky, would you like us to stabilise it? The video is a montage of stills.
  14. I posted on a couple of local FB sites offering services and I've had good response. I'm currently doing 16 VHS-C tapes from the early 90s. Trouble is, all of the "hose-piping" is making me travel sick.
  15. Vodafone has as good as said they don't want to pay middle-men!
