A quick update on this... I worked with the customer on this, and about 15mins after this post - on checking in the Google domain myself - the groups had imported via GADS; and were displaying in Google mail. Some latency in cloud services is inevitable - particularly as each of the Google Apps seems to have a different "pickup schedule" for imported objects. The Teachers of groups is a large number of objects to enumerate - which could account for this. Stuart SalamanderSoft

Office365 - Migrating Email from School to Alumni
TheScarfedOne replied to 1066girl's topic in Cloud Services
Following up on this there is a further license SKU available for Alumni - specifically Exchange (EXCHANGESTANDARD_ALUMNI) - which a number of our customers use. We have just swapped the license over for their leavers; which preserves their mailbox - and the school let the pupils know. I don't see why changing the suffix too should present an issue. They can then keep using the same mailbox - even if the license applied to it, or actual mail addresses change. Stuart SalamanderSoft -
+1 for Capita hosted. Used it myself; databases are stored in Azure. All UK based. It depends on the size of your school, size of your it team, and reliability of internet. There are lots of ways of providing external access - going hosted is one way, apps is another, or if you still go local, I know lots who have RDP/Remote App access.

Definitely what @witch said. Force the machine offline. Manually copy off. Ive seen this go horribly wrong, and trying to restore aftwards with the CSC commands is not fun.

Hi Steve. Have you dropped our support team a message, as I cant see this. I suspect the issue is oversized (file size) images as AD and Office 365 have different limits. Sometimes even a dimensions resize isn't enough, its the pixel depth. Get in touch (see the website support page for details) and we will take a look for you Stuart

The Windows 8 version of the App does not run on Windows Phone. At the moment, the Phone and PC versions of Windows use different App Stores and operate differently. Of course, this is different on Win 10 - where they are of course now unified with Universal Apps. I suspect then (scaling issues aside) that the App might then work on Windows Mobile 10 as well as Windows 10.

I do believe this is what you are referring to? https://sis.microsoft.com/ This is not a Capita thing - it is an Open Standard being worked on by Microsoft with all the MIS providers. As we were mentioned - yes, Salamander can be used for Groups and Users management in both Office 365 and Google Apps environments.

I guess that figures really, as they are completely different systems. Thankfully, I wasn't subscribed to any...

That's what happens when everyone tries to use it all at once. Same kind of thing happens on ticket release days for events...remember seeing this a lot when booking Olympics or Rugby World Cup tickets
