Hi,

Remote Apps / Services / Desktops seems to be quite a 'hot' topic at the moment, and is very much a project that I would like to do here.

I am looking at (initially) allowing access to SIMS for our Staff using RemoteApps (not desktop).

http://www.edugeek.net/forums/hardware/98212-server-requirements-sims-remote-access.html

We have all the correct licencing for our staff and for Remote Access Use (OVE-ES agreement with Remote CALS etc)

We have suitable hardware as we have just moved over to Hyper-V for virtualisation etc, so can create the required amount of (VM) Servers etc.

Is this a recommended setup (minimum of 2 servers) configured as described in the above thread?

We would also be in the same situation in relation to the certifcates (domain being .local etc)

Other threads used to assist etc.

Are the any recommended wikis, step-by-step guides that anyone has successfully used and would like to share?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.

Just thought I would update this thread and post some helpful step-by-step guides that I have used on how to setup RemoteApps. (They are for Windows 2012 Server)

RDS8 – Quick and Easy, RemoteApp on Windows Server 2012 | Concurrency, Inc.

RDS8 – Standard 3-Node RemoteApp Deployment on Windows Server 2012 | Concurrency, Inc.

Hope they are of some use.

There are many other other useful guides here as well.
