Rob_D Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Hi, we're seeing an issue on windows 10 1803 whereby after the user logs in the screen remains black. I can ctrl-alt-del and get into task manager which shows all of our background applications are running, just not explorer.exe I can't create a new process in task manager (I assume because of lack of elevated permissions), or change task manager to run elevated. If I right click on a process and go "search online" then IE runs fine. All I can really do is log the user off/ reboot the computer. This normally fixes the issue. If we check the logs afterward it doesn't show anything untoward. Anyone else had this, or have any ideas what's going on? Thanks.

TechMonkey Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 It appears to be an Explorer issue. If you can manually launch Explorer it seems to carry on happily. Not found a root cause yet.
johnpd Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Hi we have this in 1803 clean system and clean gpo setup with nothing legacy (fresh site install). I’ve seen a troubleshooter suggesting graphics card drivers as the issue...
