tscnmuk Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Hello all I am looking to next term have teaching staff able to reset student passwords and to enable and disable student user accounts. My question is as follows. I am able to delegate control and alter security settings to allow the resetting of passwords easily enough however cannot find anything specifically relating to enabling or disabling accounts. Do you require full control to be able to do this as obviously this will be a complete no no. Am I missing something obvious somewhere? Thanks Tom
Guest Guest Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I know this used to be possible buy i seem to remember that the last time i did it all you got was reset passwords and no enable/disable. If i find it ill post back as its something i will have to sort out myself anyhow
Andie Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Maybe the link below will help. If you scroll down to the bottom, you will see that you need to delegate control of userAccountControl to be able to enable/disable accounts. Scroll back up and read from the start for how this was done. http://www.wisesoft.co.uk/Products/PasswordControl/Help/Security.aspx
