Role: ICT Technician

Salary: £25,000

Position: In first instance until 31st March 2014

Lambeth City Learning Centre is an award winning educational organisation supporting schools across South London in the use of innovative technologies. The Centre is in the process of expanding its services and is therefore looking for an ICT Technician to join the Technical Team to help delivery the CLC’s Technical Support Services for schools and to assist the team within the centre.

The role will involve hands on technical support in schools and therefore requires strong technical knowledge combined with excellent interpersonal skills.. The ideal candidate will have experience of first and second line technical support. They will be organised, hard working, and willing to learn on the job. Attention to detail and documentation of all tasks undertaken is key. They will have excellent communication skills and be able to explain technical solutions to non technical users. Experience of working in an education context is desirable.

The candidate will have a good working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and 2008 as

well as Windows XP/Vista /7 and Office 2003/2007/2010. Experience of Active Directory

and Group Policy is required. Understanding TCP/IP networking and being able to

troubleshoot wired and wireless Ethernet networks is extremely desirable. Experience of

Apple Mac operating systems and software is desirable. The candidate may have their

CCNA, Network Essentials, IT Essentials, A+, MCTS, MCITP qualifications. All relevant

qualifications and experience will be taken into account, so please mention anything that

might contribute to the application.

Recent graduates with one to three years experience within a technical context will be

preferred.

The candidate will be capable of working independently and of using their initiative. They

should have a full UK driving license.
