Smoothwall Block Page

Afternoon All,

 

I have an issue here effecting all users,

 

When a page is being blocked / blacklisted by smoothwall, and the studunts try to get to the page, it comes up with internet explorer cant connect to the internet instead of the smoothwall block page.

 

Wondered if anyone had any insights on this issue?

 

I have schedualed a smoothwall re-boot for 4:00pm, to see if that helps, but thaught I would throw a line before hand.

This sounds very familiar. If you happen to be using a proxy.pac file (either specified in IE or set to automatically detect) to deploy your proxy settings try enabling the "Disable caching of Auto-Proxy scripts" GPO setting and see if that helps. That solved the issue for us a long time back. I believe there's a KB entry on the Smoothwall support about this.
