BETT 2013 - Leavers and Joiners

I've been doing what I do every year ... looking the the show guide for this year and comparing it to last year. Usually I do it to see if there are any folk who have moved to a new location or who have had mergers / name changes / etc ... and this tends to be fairly easy when you are comparing the 2 maps ... except this year they show plans are completely different. Someone would think it is a new venue! ;-)

 

Instead, this year I am going through the show guide for last year and making a note of exhibitors that aren't appearing this year, or who are new and weren't there previously.

 

It is taking some time to manually go through but I will stick up those folk who are missing first to see if anyone knows if they are still there but partnered with someone else, or if there is another reason why they are not attending (eg attending a different show instead or concentrating on using the money for other things ... like making things work or reducing the cost of the kit for the customer ... or they have simply gone under!)

Another big name not there this year is AndertonTiger Radio ...

Russell Prue has been speaking at BETT since 1985 in various guises, but this year he has a well-earned break. The BETT Radio will be run by learners themselves this year as part of the Heppell.net Learn Together zone.

 

 

If you have any news on any of the above please let me know ... and if I have erroneously said someone is not exhibiting then let me know.

According to the Android app, Boxford and Avantis are both there, though helpfully it doesn't say what stand. Brother are there too on F130. Haven't checked all of them so there may be more, or the app may be wrong.
