Windows 7 IE9 and head with new laptop!

Just issued our head with new laptop, slight reluctance on their part.

 

There's a couple of things that are causing stress (mine:rolleyes:). The main one being - We use OWA for email and the previous laptop was able to open attachments and then save if required, but with IE9 the options are open or save or save as, I've set IE9's command bar to stay open which gives the option to save when Open is selected, is there a more elegant way of acheiving this?

Not really, but I suppose you could downgrade to IE8 as an option

i say thats a good thing the amount of times ive seen people click open work on a document from owa and then save it in some random temp folder never to be seen again is silly

May be missing the obvious, but is there a specific item they're opening that's an issue?

 

For example, in Adobe PDF you can set the option not to open PDFs within IE. So when you click an attachment it'll open within adobe, thus giving save buttons etc
