Google Chrome Prompting for Install on Every Login

Despite the fact that nothing that I know of has changed on the network, we are starting to see this screen everytime a non admin user tries to log in:

 

 

Google Chrome has been installed on our PCs for many months now without ever giving this prompt and we have not pushed out any Chrome updates. So, any ideas what may be causing this all of a sudden.

Pew pew. Seems it's just a stupid bit of code not worknig well with XP, and it's being/been fixed.

 

In terms of why it happened now, doesn't chrome autoupdate by default if you use the MSI? Or was that changed?

Do you use a mandatory roaming profile for non-admin users? Could something have been changed/updated with that? Or maybe a Windows update has done something with regard Browsers?

Mine has started doing this today as well. We haven't actually had Chrome installed very long (since October), so I presumed it was something Chrome did and for the moment we are just hitting cancel when it pops up, but I need it to stop.

I haven't had any luck removing this either. Tried reinstalling the latest version of Chrome and still no luck.
