Hayleywow Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Hi Can the Microsoft Surface run SIMS?? If so - do you install it like you would any computer?? or do you need specific app or software?? Thanks in advance for your reply Hay
Arthur Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) The Surface Pro can as it is just a standard PC. Surface RT on the other hand will never be able to run SIMS.net unless Capita make a web-based alternative (SLG doesn't count ). Edited January 10, 2013 by Arthur
glennda Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Which Version of the Surface? If it is the RT version (I.e arm based one) then no it wouldn't - the Pro version should.
FN-GM Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 SIMS isnt supported on Windows 8 yet. Although it isnt support it might still work.
sted Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 you could probably publish it as an rdp app to a surface
GreezyE Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I'm currently running SIMS on a Windows 8 Machine (Enterprise) and I would love to say its completely bug free, but no- it's not. There are a few funny issues when updating SIMS on a Windows 8 Machine, If i had to rely on it 100% - I wouldn't.
Max_Power Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Have it running as a remote App through HAP+ on my surface RT, but thats as close as you'll get.
chazzy2501 Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 So I guess you could use the solutions provided on any tablet platform and save money?
