Dos_Box Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 A Chinese man hired online assassins to take out his sons characters after he became addicted to certain games: Dad hires online assassins to slay game-obsessed son ? The Register Unless anyone has already done so it would make a great idea for a company. My idea would be to set yourself up as an agency rather than having to go through the time and expense of levelling up a whole raft of characters over a myriad of games and pay existing players and take a cut rather than get your own hands dirty

Also, it'd only work on PvP servers.
CAM Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I think Second Life would be more suited to blackmail material.

dhicks Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Unless anyone has already done so it would make a great idea for a company. Which would then give rise to a company providing in-game bodyguards...
TechMonkey Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Which would then give rise to a company providing in-game bodyguards... Which you set up as well so you either get them coming and going That's business.
DMcGuigan Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 This is already a thing in SecondLife... or so I hear. Also, it'd only work on PvP servers. For killing the characters directly, PvP servers are needed.. for completely screwing with him and killing all of his NPC quest givers, you just need the magical PvP flag. 6 hours. 6 hours I waited for Alliance to stop killing NPC's in Thrallmar to turn in one damn quest I did get a good chuckle out of this when I read it on BBC News this morning
