King's College and King's Hall School are leading independent coeducational boarding/day schools educating 750 children from ages 3-18. They are looking to appoint a highly qualified, motivated and flexible ICT Manager with effect from 1 March 2013.

 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding that ICT in a school environment is very different from one in the commercial or public sectors, and will have experience of:

. working in a senior technical support role

. successful project management

. implementing new systems on a best value basis

 

They will have an excellent track record of leading and managing others, be an excellent communicator, a strategic and creative thinker and be committed to their own professional development and that of others.

 

Technically, they will have a good working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 (Active Directory, Group Policies, File Services, Windows Deployment Services), Exchange Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, Windows XP and 7, and Office 2007, as well as good IP and networking knowledge.

Knowledge of RM CC3 and CC4 Management would be advantageous.

 

Applicants must be prepared to show a significant degree of flexibility regarding their working hours to meet the operational needs of these busy schools.

 

Salary - to £30,000 depending on experience, plus subsidised school fees if required.
