This gigapixel image of the Khumbu glacier was captured by David Breashears during the spring of 2012, from the Pumori viewpoint near Mount Everest. The Khumbu Icefall is clearly visible here, and one can easily see the hustle and bustle of Everest Base Camp below.

If you look carefully, you can see a group of 3 on the glacier....and a little bit away there's someone who looks like he coming back down....

 

I like to think the following conversation took place....

 

3 guys: "Brad, have you got the ropes?"

 

1 guy: "Er,....I thought one of you were bringing them?"

 

3 guys: "No, Brad....It was down to you. I guess you better go back and get them"

 

1 guy: "Oh F*$%!"
