Font Capture: Flash.exe - Application Error

On starting up Adobe CS5 flash we received the following Error

 

Font Capture: Flash.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program

 

Clicking ok just closes the application down.

 

We discovered the following fix for this issue:

 

Delete a file called “fontinfo.txt” from the affected users profile. The path location is as follows:

 

\\PC_NAME\c$\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS5\en_US\Configuration\fontinfo.txt

 

Also delete it from the Default User profile or it will be copied into any newly created user profiles that are created on that machine.

 

Further Information:

 

Environment is Windows XP SP3

Adobe version is CS5

Roaming profiles and mandatory profiles are not in use.

 

Hope this helps anybody else suffering from the same issue.
