Prolific 2302 driver for OSX 10.8

Which driver do you use for Prolific 2303 usb to serial adaptor as I just removed the oficial one as it crash the mac when removing the cable? I am also not getting any out put when connecting to a switch in the console.

 

Why have the made it so difficult to use USB to serial adaptors?!!

I think I used the key text file that had been package by someone but it would have been nice to do it my self. When I reinstall the mac I do it that way.
