russdev Posted November 17, 2005 Author Posted November 17, 2005 any as got a laptop which we connect as standalone... anyway got two accounts one admin and one limited account anyway got few laptops need to setup like this and got a batch file that installs and sets everything up but want to set limited account up using gpedit and then export it and then import it on the other laptops... Guest Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 gpedit on local stations are global, and effect all the local accounts. I used to use gpedit to lock down XP stations on an NT4.0 domain. The way I managed them was to lock them down via gpedit, then run it again when logged in as admin to turn settings off, you get the idea As for copying the settings from one PC to another copy the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\GroupPolicy and past to the same location on any laptops you want to lock down.
