Hi all,

Got a strange problem I wondered if anyone could help me out with.

I am currently in the process of preparing Windows 7 for deployment in our school and have run into a strange issue. We are experiencing slow start menus for users and folders can take a minute or so to expand (and show the magnifying glass whilst doing so).

I have narrowed it down to FEP. By trialling with Real Time Protection disabled the problem disappears. I am now not sure how to fix it though. I use folder redirection to point to a folder on the local C:\ drive of the workstation (C:\Users\Standard\Start Menu) and have tried adding this as an exception to FEP to no avail. Not sure what I can try now as obviously disabling FEP permanently is not an option. Any ideas?

***Please ignore, now sorted it***

Had to add not only the shortcut location, but also the folders the EXE's were on. Seems Forefront does some kind of forward scanning before clicking the links.
