An excellent understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required and you will have the ability to programme two or more of the following languages: Python, Perl, C, C++, Fortran, JavaScript.

You will have experience in rapid coding, IT systems management and possess a hunger for learning new things rapidly. A working knowledge of Windows-based systems administration is essential.

The post is available as a fixed-term contract initially until 31 December 2014.

For any applicants who have less experience the post may be offered at grade 4 (£19,972 - £23,121 p.a.) with a suitable change in the duties.
