What Happened to the AsteriskNow GUI?

Hello,

 

A few years ago i played with AsteriskNow and the GUI was pretty good. I have just installed the latest version, and the GUI is FreePBX. To me its not as good as the previous GUI i used, when was this changed please?

Its put me off using it, was looking at using it to replace Cisco Call Manager

*shrug* most of my asterisk work is command line? Or are you farming out admin access to some users?

a little we may be. But for someone who doesn't use liux its not that easy doing it in the CLI. If you know easy, if you dont, wel....

Give elastix ago, and if you need help with the command line just ask in here. You only need vi command to edit config files, then its just press INSERT key to edit, then :x to save and exit, done. I am not very good with Linux but i can get around easy now for what i need. We run 3 schools (soon to be 4) here on Elastix and its just great for the price, free

Well if you're not interested in editing config files then the only Admin interfaces that works properly are the FreePBX and Elastix ones.

Will give elastix a looking at. Still a little bit disapointed with AsteriskNOW. I got a good working system with it years ago.

@Geoff with asterisk do you give your receptionist any software to make it easier to transfer calls etc?

Well the buttons on the Polycoms all work however I also give them iSyphony.
