sonofsanta Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 5 months on.... Nexus4 or Razr I ? Is the Razr worth £5 a month more than the Nexus? My Sensation died and I can't cope with my temporary LG E400 Heavens no, the RAZR i is a mid-spec phone at best in the current market - 4.3" screen, 540 x 960 resolution... it's not a bad phone, I don't think (though there may be compatibility issues with apps) but the Nexus is a top-end spec at a superb price. The HTC One probably beats the Nexus 4 now, but is also not as cheap. 1

I use my Samsung Tab2 a lot and would prefer a decent phone that I could use as a hotspot rather than a high end one.
Sunnyknight Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 S4. Can pick them up for £400 on PayG £30 or so quid a month for contract

creese Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I love my One, £30 for the phone on a £26 a month deal I did like the look of the One. I think I have decided, maybe, to buy a phone and continue with my Vodafone contact until it ends. But will see if I can get a reasonable priced repair for the USB port, just in case that will fix it.
creese Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I have 2 Sensations for sale I'll swap for one broken one :-) The usb ports seems to be a common problem. I was quite disappointed with this phone.

Haha, we have loved ours since the update around Easter '12. Both USB ports have been fine, just got one with a few lines of dead pixels that appeared a month or so ago.

creese Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 [h=3]Main disadvantage[/h] Dead pixels on some early units No LTE No microSD card slot Non user-replaceable battery 13MP camera hardly any better than competitors' 8MP units Oppo Find 5 review: Oppo-lent screen - GSMArena.com
pbainbridge Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Here's a curveball......take a look at the Xtreamer joyz. A better spec than the S4 and only 299 euros. Totally unlocked and is root enabled. I've got the Xtreamer Akai 5". Dual Sim and I love it. 1

Buy OPPO Find 5 - Free Shipping from Europe (EU) - OPPO Style Europe Conveniently, Anandtech have just posted a review of it: AnandTech | OPPO Find 5 Review They seem pretty impressed with it overall, though they still think the Nexus edges it, particularly as it's available cheaper.
