W7 and Multiple Domains

Hi

I have just been asked to set up a users laptop who travels between 3 sites so they can log on to the domains at each site. is there a way to do this without using 3rd party software?

Do the domains have a trust between them or totally separate?

As far as I'm aware a trust is needed, unless someone else knows better?

 

Normally with a trust and Windows 7, you'd specify:

 

domain1\username

 

domain2\username

 

domain3\username

 

With Windows XP, you simply chose the domain from the drop down list.

Without a common trust between these domains this is really a non starter.

 

However as its reletively simple to switch Workgoup Names and if the user has a common login/username in all 3 Domains it might be possible to manage with something like this..

Otherwise there is going to be a lot of domain\username prompting to contend with.
