Hi

This may be a silly question but does anyone have a clue when Sharepoint 2013 is going to be released fully? On the MS website you can "Try It" but it doesn't give any info about when its going to be released properly or, for that matter, how long the trial lasts for!

Cheers :)

Its available to download from VLSC.

Enterprise and Standard are up with keys.

I took a quick look but they have taken on the metro look and didnt really like it to be honest. Think we will be moving to a hosted version at some point in the future anyway but will have to see.

None of the features looked like "must haves" anyway.

My understanding is that it was released to VL customers (with SA) during November, and was made available to VL customers without SA on the 1st of December.

Rumour is that the general release will be sometime in January 2013.

Thanks guys, I've got it from the VL portal.

Nice of MS to give no information on their main site about it though!!

Zag - I totally understand your point however, the place i am looking at it for still runs Sharepoint 2003 and it's got to a pint where this just isn't working properly any more! Not least as IE9 can't be used to update it properly!!

I think in that situation I would definitly look at 2013 but 2010 suits our needs without the new weird and wacky 2d blue interface.

Ok, we now have Sharepoint 2013 installed!!! It's not too bad to install to be honest but you do need a decent spec machine behind it.

Couple of questions though to anyone who knows about sharepoint!!

I would like to set up a test bed in our office to start with but have it so all our guys can log onto the Sharepoint portal to get to their email as well as the shared calendar etc all from the Sharepoint front end. Does anyone know how to do this? The only things i can find online talk about setting up a "team" email account that several people can access etc but thats not really what I'm after.

Thanks in advance!
