p858snake Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I know this isn't technically a Education question (runs and hides), But some of you may have experienced this for Uniform Shops/Tuckshops etc so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. The charity that I'm heavily involved in had to move recently (and start paying rent) so subsequently we have had to set up a more formal shop type arrangement. Out old Fish'n'Chip style register broke so we were generously donated a second hand touchscreen pos system. Does anyone have recommendations on appropriate POS software, Ideally I've been looking for something that is simpler for the older ladies to use, But has some more advanced features not to let the system go to waste?
elsiegee40 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Edugeek isn't just for education these days... Look at the logo; it's the "IT Professionals' Lifeline".
camel Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Try OpenBravo, there is a community edition. Server/client architecture it is deployable in many situations, local, cloud. Looked at it a while back for a small jewellery company.
MatthewL Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Try DHPOS, its free but not sure if it will work with touchscreen. It is simple to use with a keyboard. Been on the go for years, have used it before.
