Office 2003

Hi,

 

I am trying to install office 2003 on a Win 7 pro box. The install nearly completes then fails with cannot register type libraries for file "(various)". I am running the 64 bit version anybody help we cannot upgrade to office 2010.

Turn off UAC? I know really it shouldn't matter, but could be worth a go?

Just out of interest, why are you installing the x64 version? Microsoft recommend you use the x86 of install of Office except in very specific situations - i.e. you regularly deal with enormous spreadsheets - as otherwise you break compatibility with x86 add ons.

Do you have the service pack 3 version? I assume you mean 32 bit office 2003 on a 64bit windows 7..

Sorry I should have been more specific. We have installed the 64 bit version of the OS but the 32 bit version of Office 2003.
