Morning Guys,

Not really a mac person, but our music department has imacs with Sibelius 6 and from time to time a station will unregister the licence leaving the pupil unable to save their work. We did originally have our x-serve checking licencing, but due to poor config of our x-serve we rebuilt all the macs and used individual workstation licences. BTW the unregistering did happen on older versions managed via the x-serve as well.

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

Thanks in advance!

we had many issues getting our Sibelius licence server running on our XServe, in the end we ran it off one of our windows servers and linked them up that way. Are the mac clients on the network? if you keep getting issues give Sibelius a call. i had to call them the other day over something and they ended up sending me a file to re-register the client software and i could then re-authorise the licence

I ran it all last year on a Windows 2008 Server and this year I have it running on OS X Server. I do hate that if the server goes down the clients lose ability to use the software. I've never had an issue where the clients would just lose the server though.
