laserblazer Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 In the 70s I was a Rank Xerox engineer. A new range of photocopiers was introduced that had nixie lamps. When I asked one of the designers why they hadn't used LEDs he said the marketing people didn't thing the customers would accept them!
unixman_again Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 You can pick up a kit to make your own Nixie clock for £50 or less.
Earthling Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Nixie Clocks Well, Christmas is coming.....get your letter off to Santa and if you're a good boy.......girl.......uhhhh......person, you never know what you might find in your stocking on Christmas morning. I like the bottom one on that page, the bare one in the glass/perspex enclosure. Not sure I'd pay nearly $300 for one, though.
