googlemad Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 My aging Toshiba laptop is only just starting to struggle now and with Windows 8 and Office 2013 out it seems now is an excellent time to let it retire! So, I'm looking for a laptop in the £300 - £500 price range. At home, it is my main computer pretty much although I don't have any requirements for gaming - Just general Office / Facebook etc. Although I would like it to be at least capable of running a couple of VMs too. Any suggestions? Intel ideally, also I would like an SSD but presumably it'll be cheaper to get one with a standard drive and do the SSD swap out myself.

glennda Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) Lenovo if you can find a good one in your Price range. Then stick an SSD in! This looks nice! http://www.ebuyer.com/407070-lenovo-ideapad-z580-laptop-m81hjuk Edited November 1, 2012 by glennda
Soulfish Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I normally have a look at Refurbished Dell Computers and Dell Outlet - Refurbished Laptops, Desktops & Servers | Dell UK for the best deals. The Dell outlet normally has some cracking deals on laptops including 3yr NBD.
