Server 2012 - Direct Access - Windows 7 Video Demo

Anyone who knows me will know that I like my videos and after spending most of yesterday getting it going I am happy to bring to the stage..........SERVER 2012 DIRECT ACCESS (WHICH IS THE COOOLEST THING EVER!!)

At time of posting video was still churning through YouTube but the SD version is already up.

Did you have any issues getting IP-HTTPS to work?

 

Mine has a red error on it with the following error

 

The IP-HTTPS listener is inactive and cannot accept connections from DirectAccess clients.

 

No idea where i configure or make it active

Thanks Waiting on WP 7.8 - doesn't look like anyone is making anything for WP8 with a keyboard like the HTC Pro 7 as yet!

 

Brand new deploy of internal certs here was good fun to get going (NOT).

Likewise on both accounts, have a LG Optimus 7Q here ( Mobile Phone - Optimus 7Q - LG Electronics Australia ) obscenely cheap as I was really waiting for WP8 but love the integrated keyboard, it is just faster. Liking the look of some of the WP8 stuff though but I got the 7Q so I would not have to rush into the first round, was on WM6.5 before.

 

We did a whole cert infrastructure for wireless back on a physical Server 2003 box which then proceeded to be a bag of nightmare. Next time it gets its own VM server that just runs certs as per advice, when they say it is a PIA they mean it.

Yeppo nice to look at more colour than just normal black and white!

 

Mashed ours in on one of the DCs - did a clean DC build over the last holiday with everything to best practice so things are still running nice and smoothly (for now!).

Yea, it may have changed but having it on a DC was one of my main mistakes (cost driven). Hopefully they have fixed that little mess though, it has been nine years.
