S_Hannah Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Hi, Hoping someone has a solution for this as I cannot find one. I am trying to run the Deployment Workbench and I am recieving the following error: Initialization Error PowerShell is required to use the Deployment Workbench. Please install PowerShell then relaunch Deployment Workbench. Any ideas? I am running Windows Server 2008 Ent, 32Bit
jamesreedersmith Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 As it asks - install windows powershell from server manager and relaunch it!
morganw Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Yes, like this. Windows Server 2008: Install Windows PowerShell | a Tech-Recipes Tutorial
S_Hannah Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Hi My apologies, should of stated that I have already done that and still recieve the same error Regards
S_Hannah Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Yeah, and even enable script execution on the default domain policy incase it was being stopped there.
Arthur Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) Windows Server 2008 includes PowerShell 1.0. You need PowerShell 2.0 (or better still PowerShell 3.0 a.k.a. Windows6.0-KB2506146-x86.msu). Edited October 23, 2012 by Arthur 1
