Serif problem at startup

We have a user who uses serif a lot. We have had a lot of problems when it loads. The error we get is:

 

Failed to create folder:

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Serif\DrawPlus\9.0\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Serif\DrawPlus\9.0\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Serif\DrawPlus\9.0\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Serif\DrawPlus\9.0\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Serif\DrawPlus

 

After a few clicks of OK we get:

 

Failed to create a folder with a blank name.

(Probably due to a missing registry entry.)

 

Has anyone had this problem before and managed to sort it?

I vaguely remember this issue sometime ago for us. I think we had to delete anything to do with Serif from the users profile and it should load okay.

We have had the problem before too. I have been through the profile, deleted te serif folders but no joy. Ive recreated the profile, that seems to be the only fix for us at the moment

There are some updates and patches which may resolve the problem at Updates & Patches but I haven tried any of them.

Thanks, i shall have a look to see if we have this patch already. Its strange how its only happening on one account though

I've had this before here... it was because of profile corruption and there was a "username" and "username.domain" profile on the PC. The active one was username.domain but serif was trying to write to the username profile. (I hope that makes sence)

Yeah ive seen that. Does that mean you have to remove the "username" one? What is the solution to this? A new profile?

We used to try resetting Serif when the user loads it (I think you hold shift down when you click on the shortcut) and then agreeing to everything. If that didn't work we just deleted the existing profile.
