How do you guys cope with exam users with regard to MS Office 2010? Its much harder to disable all the spell check features to get a proper controlled experience for the user. We are getting some push back when we are recommending Wordpad as an alternative.

Inability to create tables is the one feature which we are being asked for.

Do you guys use Wordpad or Word? Any recommendations for settings to apply to 2010 to get it to behave in a way which we can control?

Reg entry?

I have just gone through a HUGE list of disabling the GUI commands in Word!! lol

How did you come across the reg entry?

Thanks you :)

Are these for Office 2010? I can't seem to get them to work :s

Should probably elaborate on the above:

I have applied both reg entries as both seem to have the same issue that is if you right click on any word you can 'research' it and change to thesaurus which gives you correct spellings and information.

I have also applied the following GPOs from here disable proofing, spell checker, using GPO. which locks down pretty much everything.

Still able to research all my words and the REALLY annoying paragraph capitalization still exists :(

I am liking wordpad it has to be said :p
