Dan_ATR Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Hi Guys, What I am trying to do is basically clone a hard disk with all of its data and partitions successfully even if there are bad sectors. (This usually stops software I have used in the past) I am going to run this over PXE boot in WinPE 3.0 (Windows7). I was looking at Norton Ghost but I cant seem to find any downloads for old versions. Could anyone please point me to some useful Hard disk Software or even Free Norton Ghost please.
Duke5A Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 No such thing as free Ghost and I'm pretty sure asking for such would get you walking papers. If you do end up using Ghost though, you'll need version 11 at the least and you could use ghost32 with the -fro switch to ignore bad blocks.
plexer Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Pe boot and imagex? Or pxe boot a linux distro and use dd? Ben
pcstru Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Fog? No idea what that will do with bad sectors though.
Dan_ATR Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 All sorted ages ago guys. Found and used Norton Ghost
pcstru Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Damn. Always look at the dates. (although how did this get into the iSpy list?)

MordyT Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 A spammer hit up the topic about 8 hours ago. I reported it and the post was removed. But it must have kept it in the list.
