Train Timetable into Digital Signage

Hi,

 

In our reception foyer we would like to show the train departure board of our local station on our XIBO screen.

 

We would like to show the boards from http://www.dlrlondon.co.uk/livedepartureboard.aspx?stn=isg

 

Can anyone help me extract the required code so that I can embed it?

Wouldn't it be easier on XIBO to embed the webpage as a whole? http://www.dlrlondon.co.uk/livedepartureboard.aspx?stn=isg rather than extracting that? I know it won't look a nice though any additional service updates will appear on that page but wouldn't if you stripped the page down for the code.

The best option I can see is to get a PHP server with CURL enabled, fetch that page, then use something like str_pos to find the "Next train from blah blah is" then copy out the relevant info in PHP, discard the rest. Re-format it and then display it how you want.

 

I don't know what XIBO is but you can use PHPGD to save the info you scraped into a JPG image however you want it to look then embed that on your screen someone purely as a JPG?
