Multipoint graphics issue

I've installed a mdt xt graphics card which installed as a geforce 210 . It only shows one large logical screen rather than 4 , which scuppers me for multipoint!. Any ideas?

How have you got the stations setup? And are you in normal or maintenance mode?

Tried it in both modes. Device manager shows one card, Screen resolution (right click on desktop) shows one screen, Actual display is split accross the 2 monitors I have plugged in.

It hasn't got any of the silly driver stuff turned on, some of the drivers allow you to span the output so that Windows sees it as one single ultra wide screen.

The way multipoint works, it is supposed to be one extra-wide logical screen. It's then the multipoint software that effectively chops the screen up into the corresponding stations. Do you have multiple keyboards and mice plugged in?

 

Sounds like multipoint itself isn't initialising the screens correctly. I've had it here on the odd system and have had to re-install Mutlipoint Server from scratch to get it working, grrr.

Also, another thought, have you installed from an image? We had a similar issue to start and after an MS PSS call it turns out it was an issue with sysprepping and we needed to remove the MPS from the domain, add again and the issue was resolved

It never occured to me to try it as we've never had this issue with our hundreds of imaged Windows 7 PCs! Not sure if it'll help @strawberry though.

 

So far I've found MPS to be quite flaky, I don't knwo if that's the way it is, or if it's how I have them setup.....!

MPS can be a bit flaky in certain situations, we sometimes have issues with them jamming in matinence mode which requires some manual tweaking to get around. Integrated intel drivers will also ruin your day every single time. I have never encountered drivers so able to break an image than the ones intel excrete.
