generating and mailing user passwords

I'm facing a little problem...

I've set up a wireless network with radius authentication on NPS

till now for every student that came to my office asking for wifi connection, i created an account in AD and let them put a password to complete the registration

this year I'd like to automate the process a little bit populating in advance an active directory OU with all the new users...and here it is my problem

I can bulk import new users via powershell (name, surname and id) but is it possible to generate random passwords and mail them to che users?

how do you approach similar issues?
