Hi,

We now have 7 servers on five sites and it's getting a bit much monitoring every single one every day.

I've been mentally busy over the past few days and hadn't noticed one of the backup drives has been down for two days so it's getting dangerous.

Is there a piece of software that includes sensors to check all network shares, processes, and windows server backups and gives an alarm if something is wrong.

I have a few small spare monitors that I'm going to setup as a spanned multiple display and leave on for showing this data.

Any ideas?

Thanks

have a look at zabbix we use it to monitor cpu, network load, uptime status, hard disk status, switch connections etc.

It can be set up in a slide show mode so that it auto scrolls through select screens of various different data outputs and can be used to monitor both linux n windows and varioud other devices

Both look like top solutions. Thanks

Will give Zabbix ago but looks a bit complicated setup. PRTG could get a bit costly but does everything.

I have used Nagios before and it was very good but changed over to Zabbix because I heard good things about it.

I particular like the network maps you can create with it and the fact that every sensor can be graphed.
